REMOVING
ENERGY DRAINS
Where
do you get your energy? Energy sources are either healthy
or unhealthy. And, without energy, it's really tough to make
changes. One of the best ways to sabotage yourself is by keeping
your energy low.
I'd
like to see you build sustainable energy from within. What
would it be like to always have a steady flow of energy
so you have the ummph to make it through your day without
collapsing at night?
This
week, I'd like you to pay attention to your energy zappers.
Throughout the next three months, in this program, we will
gradually upgrade your energy. Let's begin this week by
removing the energy drains. Next week, we will take a look
at unhealthy energy sources, such as adrenaline, and how
to get rid of it.
LIFEWORK
Please
list out 25-50 "energy drains." They are called
"TOLERATIONS"
in the coaching world...By tolerating, or putting up with
something that does not work for you, you are depleting your
energy...lessening your joy factor. An amazing life does
not have many tolerations...A draining life is loaded
with 'em.
- Print and carry
Lesson
1 Worksheet with
you all week and write down the tolerations as they pop
up. Keep this list with you at home and work.
- Remove at least 3 tolerations from your list by completely
handling them.
- I will check in on you via email in a few days to
see how you are doing!

- Home environment
- Office environment
- Technical Equipment - computers, kitchen aids, car
- Problems hanging over your head - tax, accounting,
health
- People, relationships
- Personal Products
- Food, nutrition
- Money - bills
- Beauty, body, self care

- Personal characteristics - low confidence, shy, etc.

MOST
of our tolerations can be found in our home environments,
such as clutter, a spot on the rug, a lamp that does not
work or an uncomfortable bed.
I
want you to notice EVERYTHING
that bugs you and write it down. Be specific.
Here
are a couple of tolerations and solutions:
- Uncomfortable bed resulting is poor sleep - put new,
comfy sheets on the bed or add a feather bed on top of
the mattress for extra comfort.
- Always hungry at work in the AM since no time to cook
- begin waking up 15 minutes earlier and have quick breakfast
at home juice, a banana ,muffins etc. Make sure
you have all breakfast items on hand each week. Overstock
on juice and freeze some muffins. Or, keep granola bars
on hand. What is easy for you?
- Hate writing monthly bills - the
solution is to automate your bill payment through a service
such as PayMyBills.com, phone-in payments, or set up an
automatic debit.

The
trick here is to take each toleration very seriously.
