Creating More Freedom
Meet Jennifer Hoff Hall,
CEO, Health Care Risk Strategies, LLC:
Q: How did you hear
about coaching and why did you hire Kristin to be your coach?
A: A friend had done some coaching and I got interested in trying it for myself. I first worked with Kristin through one of her e-courses. It was a great experience, I lost 40 pounds that year! A couple of years later when I was feeling stuck in a rut at work, I thought about doing more one on one coaching. Kristin and I had our first sample session and I knew I was onto something. She has a way of getting to the heart of an issue and helping you see the truth.
My main goals were to:
- Break out of a career rut.
- Possibly start my own business.
- Create more freedom.
Q: What are the
tangible results of your coaching experience?
A: As I mentioned, I lost 40 pounds. My home is more organized and functional; and my husband and I are communicating better than ever. I completely recreated my professional life; I left a frustrating job and started a successful company of my own.
Q: What are the
intangible results of your coaching experience?
A: I called Kristin because I had become stuck in a daily routine that drained the life out of me. There was nothing to fuel my passion and I had lost sight of my dreams. After working with Kristin, I feel like my life is my own creation...designed around who I am, what I love and how I want to spend my time. It is amazing to see how much can change in such a short time.
Q: What are Kristin's
strengths as a coach?
A: Kristin is a fantastic coach because she knows exactly the question to ask that will get to the heart of any issue. She has so many great ideas to overcome obstacles, it is impossible to stay stuck unless you really want to be there. She helped me remember who I am, and that I already have everything I need to acheive my dreams.
Q: What was memorable
or meaningful about your coaching experience? Would you
A: The most meaningful part of my coaching experience was learning how to see and speak the truth. I learned how to speak from the heart, in a way that is engaging to others. It is so great to know that I can say what I really think...even when it is negative... without alienating people.
Q: Do you feel
your coaching dollars were worth it? Why or why not?
A: Absolutely. I don't think I'd have had the courage, focus and energy to create my own business without her support. The best part is, I've learned communication and problem-solving skills that I'll be able to use the rest of my life.
Jennifer is another shining example of what's possible once you tweak a few things! I remember the first day Jenn called me and how impressed I was with her professionalism, communication skills, ambition and desire to create a better life. Plus, she was a fantastic mother and training for an upcoming triathalon. This was superwoman in the flesh, I thought!
Even though Jennifer was quite an accomplished person, she was tired and not exactly living with the level of freedom she craved. Her problem? She was too doggone responsible and trained nearly everyone around her to drop their extra work or burdens in her lap. She thrived on 'saving the day' and getting everything done. And, so she did.
My job was to help Jenn see her patterns and encourage her to choose another way of being. I helped her communicate what she needed from people (AKA, asking for help), which was a total change since she was accustomed to meeting everyone else's needs. In the end, Jenn was able to find time and energy to begin a new business venture.
Jennifer's right. She does have everything she needs to acheive her dreams. I simply helped her remove the barriers to success that caused her to feel boxed in. Coaching offers people a unique perspective from an unbiased person and I'm thrilled I was able to provide that for Jenn.
